Some things coming up:
A chance encounter on Twitter lead to this. The first page of a story I wrote at the request of noted 2000AD artist Henry Flint (Zombo, Nemesis The Warlock, Shakara), for a Japan earthquake/tsunami relief charity anthology being produced by the Comic Book Alliance in the UK. As I said, this was via chance encounter, as Henry had asked if anyone could/would write him a 1-2 pager for this anthology, and I had just beat out his Zombo collaborator Al Ewing in replying. Sometimes, chance is all it takes. And the anthology promises to have some great strips from a whole host of British talents. And, er, me. Who is not British.
My old friend Michael Bramley drew this page from an upcoming Hadron Colliderscope strip I wrote. However, before it goes live in the Colliderscope, it will be printed in a new artbook being put out by New York art collective The Blood Dumpster called Thicker Than Blood. It’ll be sold at Nate Bear and Laura Galbraith’s table at the upcoming MoCCA Fest 2011, 40 pages for $5.00. Go get you some if you’ll be there.
Finally, another upcoming Colliderscope feature, this one drawn by Lisandro di Pasquale. This one will be 5 pages. Quite good, if I do say so myself!
Don’t forget, KEEPER updates every Wednesday.
